The traditional flavors of Idili Restaurant are prepared, upon arrangement, with care and utmost diligence and served within a unique environment of architecture and history. Meals are served in the courtyard and guesthouse garden, amid trees and aromatic plants in an exceptionally peaceful setting in the summer or by the warmth of the traditional fireplace in winter.
All raw materials for our dishes are purchased directly from selected farmers in the area, while fresh fruit and vegetables are organic. In all our dishes we use exclusively high-quality extra virgin olive oil, the same one that has been used for decades by the owner's family.
The careful processing of raw materials, the mild cooking techniques, especially for slow-cooked casserole dishes, are our basic cooking principles, techniques that keep the quality of the products unaltered, intensifies their flavors and form the basis of good health and longevity.
Following arrangements, our experienced cook prepares the main course and accompanying appetizers, the season salad and the dessert (pastry or ice cream). All our dishes are offered at a friendly price, while the drinks we produce ourselves are offered to our guests free of charge.
For those who want to enjoy a hot cup of coffee, a cool tsikoudia or raki (grape-based beverage of Cretan origin), a fragrant rakomelo (alcoholic beverage made of raki and honey), or a frozen draft beer and accompany them with delicious Cretan meze (small appetizers) prepared by our people with care and diligence, the guesthouse garden with its pomegranate trees, lemon trees and aromatic plants is the ideal setting, especially in the afternoon.
